SAP S/4HANA optimizes process times by 90%

Ferrum

The Challenge

The group needed to integrate its processes using a single model for all companies. The company's procedures lacked best practice, were not standardised and required internal control.

Our collaboration with Ferrum & the resulting Benefits

With the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, the client was able to load, organise and collect orders directly on the platform and online, improving synergy with suppliers. It was possible to optimise traceability from the time an order is uploaded until it is delivered to the customer and to improve efficiency and agility in the customer's processes, reducing the analysis time of invoices or orders. It was also possible to unify the databases between the different companies in the group and facilitate the visualisation of this data. The project lasted 12 months and, in addition to the latest version of SAP ERP, the FICO, MM, SD, PP and QM modules were implemented for use by more than 240 users.

  • Ferrum began to carry out stock queries immediately, optimising times by 90%.
  • Improved decision making by having traceability of transactions.
  • By implementing processes with the best practices proposed by SAP, we were able to improve controls and reduce time in some administrative processes.
  • The security of the system allowed us to implement a process flow with online approvals, saving days in this process.

    Duration

    12 months

The group had defined to migrate all the companies that compose it to S/4HANA, based on a unique model of processes, since it was necessary to carry out a technological jump to face the current needs that the market, the clients, suppliers and the own employees require. By carrying out a full Fiori implementation, the global SAP and SNP team monitored the project on a weekly basis, having direct contact with any possible problems that might arise. It was essential to obtain integration between the areas, as well as available information and agile processes.
