Following SAP’s announcement that maintenance for older product versions will end, the focus is on SAP S/4HANA. With multiple projects in the pipeline, Audi AG implemented two simultaneously at the start of 2023, introducing SAP S/4HANA Finance to establish a central finance system and migrating to SAP S/4HANA in the area of maintenance logistics. The SHW Group stands for intelligent manufacturing in the automotive sector and is experiencing rising demand. To drive this development going forward, the company needed to transform its Powder Metallurgy business segment into a separate legal entity. Inchcape reorganizes SAP data in response to local legislative changes

Up until recently, Inchcape had been operating both its Eastern European and Russian businesses on a shared SAP system hosted in Europe. However, with legislation stating that any data relating to its Russian business needs to be processed and stored in a local SAP system, Inchcape were faced with a bit of a dilemma. They had to carve out the data, and they had to do it fast to avoid legal implications. Either Russian or Eastern European data needed to be carved out while also considering Inchcape’s other transformation and consolidation projects which would impact the decision and timeline. Comparisons between the systems and data sets were also required to highlight any potential issues.
