The challenge
Contreras faced the challenge of tackling a RISE with SAP project while in a period of sustained growth. Their fragmented SAP environment combined SAP Business One as the production system and a legacy SAP R/3 environment. Diverse data sources, corporate structures and master data made it difficult to decide what data to migrate as well as how to reduce risk and ensure business continuity during the transformation. Another key challenge was keeping the internal team committed and motivated, as this was their third SAP implementation project and expectations were high.
Before taking the next step, the company needed a clear, data-driven vision to support informed decision-making and lay a solid foundation for the future move to S/4HANA. SNP’s solution Kyano Foundation helped the team take this crucial step towards realizing the migration.

The project leveraged Kyano Foundation as the core solution for automated scans, process reviews with the key user team, and advanced data analytics in Contreras’ SAP Business One and SAP R/3 environments.
This approach enabled them to identify and classify the most valuable data, including company codes, profit centers, customer, supplier and material master data, and key documents such as purchase orders. This data was separated from low-use historical information, resulting in a precise data-driven roadmap for the transition to SAP S/4HANA with Kyano Move.
