Sicredi migrated its SAP ECC environment to the latest version of SAP S/4HANA with the aim of modernizing its technological architecture, improving system performance, and preparing the platform for increasingly demanding operational and regulatory requirements. SNP, as the technology leader, and delaware, as the implementation partner, executed the transformation using the Bluefield® selective migration approach, preserving critical business processes and ensuring a controlled transition aligned with the bank's strategic needs.
Sicredi was experiencing strong growth and expansion in its membership base, with a strategic goal of reaching 10 million members. After achieving this goal, the operational, regulatory, and technological landscape within the organization became more complex. Its SAP ECC environment needed to keep pace with this growth and respond quickly to new business demands, larger data volumes, and performance requirements.
At the same time, the cooperative needed to prepare for significant regulatory changes – such as the tax reform planned for 2026 – which required a modern, flexible technology base that was ready for future adaptations. The main challenge was to drive the transformation to the RISE with SAP model while ensuring operational continuity, mitigating risks, preserving critical business assets, and avoiding a disruptive conversion that could impact deadlines, costs, and the stability of the production environment.
SNP and delaware have been working together since 2020 and have developed an increasingly strong partnership. With a large presence in Central Europe (ranked 6th in the CEU ranking), delaware has a strong alignment at various levels.. Globally, target markets outside Europe are in Latin America and North America. This partnership thrives through aligned G2Ms, marketing campaigns, and joint projects involving SNP-certified consultants from delaware in Asia and Latin America. This team is certified to use the SNP software suite in delaware projects worldwide.
The project was based on a complete migration to SAP S/4HANA in the cloud, using the RISE with SAP model, chosen for its ability to modernize technology, increase process scalability, and optimize transaction times. To ensure a controlled transition and minimize risks, the Bluefield selective migration approach was adopted, executed using the Kyano Move tool, and supported by the near-zero downtime (NZDT) methodology to reduce the impact on operations.
The migration formally began in July 2024 and followed a wave-based execution approach, including three mass test migrations, one go-live simulation, and the final go-live. It ran for 15 months and was completed in September 2025, within a controlled downtime window of 36 hours.
The execution was led by the SNP Group as the technology partner and delaware as the implementation partner, responsible for the initial assessment of the environment, scope definition, and ongoing alignment with business needs.
The solution covered the modules FI, CO, PSM, MM, SD, CVI/BP, and WF, including Z tables, enabling reduced transaction times, improved operational efficiency, and a technological foundation prepared for future innovations.
This migration connects us with the growth of the institution, which gives us room to seek new integrations and improve our administrative processes. For us, SAP S/4HANA means transformation and evolution – indispensable pillars for achieving our goal of painting Brazil green.
